I know I'm supposed to be paying attention in class right now, but some guy in the UK threw his shoe at the Chinese premier. I can only hope that this indicates that shoe-throwing is catching on as a universal sign of protest, because it's got such a great feel to it. It's violent, but it can't really hurt anyone, and it's basically impossible to stop someone determined to do it. What are they gonna do, take everyone's shoes?
