I'm going to ignore the lowest of the hanging fruit here and only say that Cavuto is completely out of line to suggest that because President Obama hasn't successfully quit smoking (despite being in great health otherwise), he shouldn't be pushing for health care reform. Personally, the only problem I have with Obama smoking is the same problem I have with all my friends that smoke - I don't want people I care about getting lung cancer. But that's the only problem. President of the United States is the most stressful job in the world (well, there's one exception), and I figure you do what you've gotta do just to get by every day, and that includes indulging the occasional vice. I want my Presidents to be relaxed and clear-headed, no matter what they've got to do in order to get their minds there, which is the main reason I'm a fervent supporter of establishing an official White House "massage parlor".
But here's what really gets me about this clip, something Media Matters overlooked. Listen to that woman's argument again. It boils down to this: because no one would pay attention to an overweight person pushing health care reform, we shouldn't listen to the President because he smokes (who is this supposed overweight person who isn't being listened to? It's never said.) She goes on to explain that she can't get health insurance because she's obese despite the fact that it's not her fault, it's a metabolic syndrome. Fair enough, but did anyone point out that this is exactly the kind of problem that both the House and Senate bills would solve? Making it so you can't be denied insurance because of a preexisting condition?

When you say "massage parlor," I certainly hope you aren't suggesting that there be a brothel in the White House. That would be championing Human Trafficking, you know.
Come on, you think the President would get a happy ending from an undocumented prostitute? That's like driving a foreign car! 100% American, baby!
